Recently I had a situation where I wanted to leave my church. I know God has called me to the ministry but I feel like my pastors deal with me differently. I mean I'm always being corrected. Some of the other people are not dealt with the same way I am. Am I wrong to feel this way?

You know, I had a friend that was a very humble servant and he use to receive the worst treatment from his pastor and others in the church. He was taken advantage of, his services abused, they would allow other ministers to speak except him, and his pastors methods were hardly biblical at times. Through all of this, I use to wonder and ask him why he wouldn't just leave that ministry. He would respond and say that no matter what he goes through in that ministry, no matter what he personally felt, he had to wait on a certain release from the Lord in due season. His circumstance reminded me of Saul and David in the OT. Anyway, he was learning humility and many other things about love and ministry. He chose not to speak negative over the ministry and wait on the Lord. Some time later he did leave when he had closure and has been GREATLY blessed ever since. He barely even refers to the bad treatment in conversations and he matured as a Christian as a result.

I believe that his situation was special and that the same direction can not be given for everyone. Some people may just need to leave. One should seek their motives and listen to God's holy spirit.
